British Army Photography

I’m so incredibly honoured to have been invited in by the Army to judge this years British Army Film and Photographic Competition and this past Thursday I was in Andover at the British Army Headquarters doing exactly that…

The range of imagery and the sheer quality was outstanding and a real joy to look over, but on the flip side, incredibly hard to judge. Along with W01 Daniel Harmer and Geoff Harris (Amateur Photographer Magazine) we spent the morning and early afternoon judging a range of categories from Cadets, Amateurs and Professionals within the Trade and after some quite lengthy discussions picked 1st Place and 2nd Place Images / Photographers for each, Best of Show and overall Photographer / Portfolio of the Year which itself carries considerable esteem.

BUT this is where you can also take part…

The British Army Photography Online Category Competition needs your votes to pick a winning image and to do will take no more than 60 seconds of your time.

Simply head over to this LINK and cast your vote to choose your favourite image out of those in the online category; I think you’ll agree though, there’s some serious talent there!

Cheers Glyn
