Jack Ansell: Royal Corps of Signals

WW2 Veteran Jack Ansell (aged 100 years) served with the Royal Corps of Signals throughout the duration of World War 2.


During the Battle of Greece he, along with others, was captured by German Soldiers and so began his 4 years as a POW (Prisoner of War) and forced labour..."If you think you've been hungry, you've never experienced real hunger"


Jack's story is one Risk v Reward, making the best of a bad situation, adapt, improvise and overcome...and a decent helping of pushing your luck.

A few years back Jack write his memories of World War 2 in a self published book titled 'Khaki and Cowdung' and actually signed and gave me a copy...
