L'école Edwards-Griffiths in Mondrainville, Normandy

Love this!

My friend, Veteran, David Edwards (53rd Welsh Div. Monmouthshire Regiment) when in Normandy recently, visited the school in Mondrainville that was named after him and his dear friend Tom Griffiths; l'ecole Edwards Griffiths, and whilst there was presented with the Legion d'Honneur.

David also presented the school with his framed portrait that I took and here is the Head of the School, Caroline de Pechy holding it and also Etienne Devailly; Commissaire en chef 1ère Classe de la Marine.

So incredibly proud and honoured to have taken David's portrait. *Note: Check out these two links to articles explaining the story behind why the school was named after David and Tom: D-Day Veteran David Edwards solves photo mystery
